We are now an ACSP – Trust us to verify your identity and complete Companies House filings

We are pleased to announce that we are now officially an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP).

This means that we have the authority to engage with Companies House on behalf of businesses.

If that sounds familiar, it’s because we already offered that service, but recent changes in regulation mean that only ASCPs can continue doing this work.

It is worth understanding what an ACSP can do and why it is important for your business.

What is an ACSP?

An ACSP is any third party that has been given special status by Companies House to verify identities and make filings on behalf of businesses.

Being an ACSP means that we are making a commitment to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures and enforcing high standards for filing.

While an ACSP can make filings on behalf of businesses, we want to spotlight the identity verification service, as this is most pressing and is a departure from previous operation practices.

How can an ACSP support identity verification?

From 18 November 2025, new rules under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act will require all UK company directors to verify their identity.

While it is possible to do this yourself, we would advise seeking the support of an ACSP to make the process run more efficiently.

We can help you ensure that you have all of the documents you need and that you are provided with the personal code that will be required for future use.

Our services cost £160+ VAT per verified individual.

When you have tasked us with working on your identity verification, you will receive an email from our third-party ID verification software provider, containing a step-by-step guide to the process.

This includes uploading images of your photographic ID, such as a passport or driving licence and undertaking biometric facial similarity checks.

Once your ID has been verified, Companies House will issue the personal code by email.

Throughout these steps, we will be on hand to guide you through the process and offer help with any difficulties you might encounter.

People with Significant Control also need identity verification

Remember that both directors and People with Significant Control (PSCs) need to have their identities verified.

Identity verification for all new PSC appointments should be completed within 14 days to avoid breaching compliance and jeopardising the reputation of your business.

Existing PSCs who are not directors must verify their identity within the first 14 days of their birth month in 2026.

This is something to mark on your calendars as we approach the new year so that you do not get caught out when the time comes for you to make your next filings.

Any directors who are also PSCs must have a personal code for their role as a director when the next confirmation statement is filed and for their role as a PSC.

It is necessary to provide a code within 14 days of the confirmation statement filing to ensure that you stay compliant.
