About me - After obtaining a BA with Honours in Accountancy from the University of Strathclyde, I worked in practice for over a decade with a number of practices focused on accounts preparation, taxation and advisory roles. I joined Scholes in 2022 and have since obtained status as a responsible individual (RI) for audit, becoming a Director of the firm in 2026.
What I do at Scholes - My primary role at Scholes is as part of the accounts and audit team based in our Edinburgh office. The majority of my time is spent on the preparation of audit and accounts engagements, with a focus of our corporate and charity clients.
More about me - Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my family, spending time with my wife Louise (who is also an accountant) my daughter and son. I regularly attend music and theatre events, and am a regular attender of live sport of many types.
