Director
About me – I joined Scholes CA in 2011, my first full time job, after spending two years at Napier University studying accountancy with finance. I qualified with ACCA in 2016 and have since obtained status as a responsible individual (RI) for audits. I became a partner in 2021, joining the existing partners, Karen and Ivan.
What I do at Scholes – I have a wide range of responsibilities and roles within the office. Core to my role is helping SME’s, providing support and advice across a range of issues. I head up our audit department, helping a mix of corporate SME’s and charity’s. I also manage our trainees, providing the support they need to progress their careers. I am passionate about supporting and developing our young people.
More about me – Outside of work, I spend lots of quality time with my family, I am married to Lauren and we have a young daughter, Averie. I enjoy playing football for my local teams, Dounby and Birsay. I also play an occasional round of golf during the summer months, when the weather permits!
