About me - I have been with Scholes since 1992. During that time I have gained considerable experience in the preparation of Sole Trader and Partnership accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and the use of both Sage Accounts and Payroll. I hold Sage’s accreditation for using Sage 50 Accounts and recently passed the new features exam for Sage 50 2014.

What I do at Scholes - I currently manage the Payroll Department, as well as looking after our own IT system. The Payroll Department processes payroll for over 100 companies each month, a service which has grown considerably over the last few years. My team and I take care of all the different payroll and PAYE reporting requirements for our clients, which also frees up their time to focus more on running their business. On a daily basis I also support clients who are using Sage software, and I also manage the team that delivers bookkeeping and VAT training.

More about me - I have a keen interest in vintage and classic vehicles and have a collection of cars, tractors and motorcycles to keep me busy outside office hours. I am also involved in the Orkney Vintage Club and currently help produce their annual magazine which is available to members.
