Director
About me – I joined Scholes in 2011, following completion of my degree in Business Management with Marketing. Since then, I have completed professional qualifications with, and became a member of, both the Association of Accounting Technicians and Association of Taxation Technicians. I was appointed as a Director of the practice in 2025.
What I do at Scholes: I lead the personal tax team at Scholes, which includes the preparation of Self Assessment Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships, seafarers, trusts, and estates; Capital Gains Tax Returns; Inheritance Tax planning; National Insurance; overseas tax; and assisting clients with a range of personal tax queries and personal tax planning. Additionally, I prepare P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements for employer clients who provide taxable benefits to employees, as well as employer share scheme returns. My qualifications and experience enable me to be flexible, assisting with complex VAT queries and the preparation of accounts.
More about me: Outside of work, I use my creative skills in a volunteer capacity to produce a monthly community newsletter, and I have a keen interest in photography. I have a passion for cooking and exploring new cuisines. I also love spending time with my 2 Boxer dogs, Kernow and Luther, on the beach, and on coastal and forest walks.
