About me - I finished school in 2002 and completed an HNC computing course at Orkney College, as well as working for a few local businesses, before joining Scholes in 2004. I am currently working towards completing the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.
What I do at Scholes - Day to day, I am mainly involved with the preparation of accounts & tax computations for a wide range of clients, as well as assisting with a number of audit assignments. I also look after the bookkeeping for a number of clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts. In recent years, I have assisted with the development & training of a few new members of staff.
More about me - I have a keen interest in football. I enjoy playing (albeit, not very well!) but am more commonly involved with the administration of the local youth & senior associations as treasurer, as well as helping out with the running of local competitions. I also have an interest in rugby and on many Saturday afternoons throughout the winter months, can be found on the touchline supporting Orkney RFC. Also, I have recently become a gym convert and enjoy attending live music concerts & festivals, both locally and further afield.
