About me – Born and raised in West Lothian, I eventually traded familiar surroundings for the buzz of Edinburgh, where I spent nine years with Zonal Retail Data Systems honing my skills in a fast‑paced tech environment. In May 2026, I took the leap into a new chapter, joining Scholes as a Trainee Payroll and Book Keeper. Now based in Orkney, I’m excited to build a long‑term career with Scholes CA and grow into the world of finance and all the detail that comes with it.
What I do at Scholes – As part of the Payroll Team, I handle the processing of timesheets to ensure employers have clear, accurate records of their employees’ pay. With payroll legislation constantly evolving and the technical detail that comes with it, I work closely alongside my senior colleagues to build my expertise. Every week brings new opportunities to learn the finer points of the job, and I’m committed to mastering the processes that help our clients pay their teams correctly and maintain reliable tax records.
More about me – A lifelong sci‑fi and fantasy fan I indulge my inner nerd whether that’s diving into new worlds, writing my own stories, or getting lost in a good tabletop campaign.
