About me - Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, I have been living in the Scottish Borders since 2004 and started my accountancy career working in the accounts department for a multi-national pharmaceutical company.
I started working in practice since 2006 and gained my ACCA membership in 2013 with a firm of chartered accountants based in the Scottish Borders.
From 2014 and 2015 I worked for larger accountancy firms based in Edinburgh in more senior managerial roles. I gained valuable experience in dealing with larger client portfolios and high-net worth individuals.
In 2016 I moved to an accountancy firm in the Scottish Borders where I acted as a director. I gained my CTA qualification in 2016 and also my STEP membership in 2020. I have experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships and provide expert advice covering all aspects of accountancy and tax related issues facing clients. I also enjoy advising on any foreign related tax issues.
I have recently decided to join Scholes CA and will be based in the Edinburgh office. They are an ambitious and forward thinking firm and those are qualities that are very much aligned with myself.
What I do at Scholes – I will be responsible for providing a first class service to clients. I will be responsible for the preparation of company accounts, personal and corporate tax planning and maintaining a strong relationship with clients.
More about me – I love rugby and a good steak on the barbeque. I try to go to the gym as much as I can however, I am finding it harder as father time is catching up with me. I am engaged to Nadia and we have two children, Grace and Rhuari.
