Assistant Manager
About me - On leaving school I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, so did a BA (Hons) in Child and Youth Studies, complemented by a specialist module in Autism through the UHI and Napier University. After a few years of working I decided to pursue a career in Accountancy, completing the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification before progressing to ACCA, qualifying in 2022. Alongside professional studies, I earned a First Class Honours Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. I joined RSM in May 2025 and became part of the Scholes team in September 2025 following the integration of the Lerwick office.
What I do at Scholes - As part of the accounts and tax team, I support a diverse portfolio of clients across Shetland and beyond, assisting with financial reporting, compliance, and advisory services. My role also includes providing support to the payroll and personal tax team when needed, helping ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery. I enjoy working closely with clients to understand their needs and contribute to their continued success.
More about me - Outside of work, I like to stay active—whether that’s going to the gym, getting out for walks with my dog Isla, or helping on our family croft. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, whether that’s catching up over a coffee, sharing a meal, or simply spending time together. A large part of my spare time is spent with my three nieces, who keep life fun, busy, and full of laughter.
